UK Take-Home Pay Calculator

Terms of Use

1. What this site provides

UK Take-Home Pay Calculator provides a free online calculator and educational articles about UK take-home pay — income tax, National Insurance, pension contributions and student loan repayments for the 2026/27 tax year. By using the site you accept these terms.

2. Not financial, tax or legal advice

Estimates only, based on the standard tax code 1257L and published 2026/27 rates. Pension contributions are modelled as salary sacrifice, National Insurance is annualised (in reality it is worked out per pay period with no annual cap reconciling), and student loan repayments are estimated on post-pension pay. Your actual take-home pay depends on your tax code, pay period, benefits and circumstances. This site provides general information only and is not financial, tax or legal advice.

Results are estimates based on the assumptions described on this site. Real-world pay depends on your tax code, pay frequency, pension scheme rules, benefits and personal circumstances — none of which a general calculator can determine. Decisions about accepting a job, setting pension contributions or filing taxes should be made with your employer's payroll department, HMRC's guidance, or a qualified professional.

3. Accuracy

We work to keep the calculator's rates and bands consistent with the published 2026/27 figures, but tax rules change and we do not guarantee that any result is correct for your individual circumstances. We accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on the site's output.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the calculator freely for personal and professional reference. You may not attempt to disrupt the site, misrepresent its output as professional advice, or reproduce its content wholesale without permission.

5. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version will always be posted on this page with its date at the top.
